Tab sites with audio samples?

Question:

> >> Does anyone know of any tab sites that offer audio samples?

Don’t forget that serveral program will play tabs for you to use for practice.  PowerTab is free.  You can also convert the tabs to midi with these programs and use vanBasco’s excellent and free Karaoke program to drop out the guitar line for play along.

This is not quite what you asked for, but it might serve the same purpose. I’ve appended a previous post of mine – hope it helps. -Tom I kinda agree about OLGA.  However, I have recently started using the Power Tab and Guitar Pro tab editor/player programs, and they both have extensive archives of tab files, in many musical styles.  Sure, there are some duds, but I’d say at least 80% I’ve tried are damn close to accurate (the beauty of these programs is that you can actually play the tab on your computer’s soundcard, and judge for yourself). I find this a great way to learn difficult sections.  You can slow the piece down, and play along, slowly increasing the speed as you improve.  Guitar Pro has a "Speed Trainer" tool that makes this dead easy, but you can also do this in Power Tab with a little more work. Another nice thing about Guitar Pro is that it includes a full MIDI sequencer, and many of the tabs include backing tracks as well as the guitar parts.  Once you learn the guitar parts, you can mute them and play them yourself, with full accompanyment.  Makes the whole process of learning new tunes way more fun. Guitar Pro is $39,  Power Tab is free. www.guitar-pro.com    http://mysongbook.com   www.powertabs.net Cool stuff! -Tom
