Yamaha erg 121

Question:

Hi, I have been playing the guitar for around 6 months now and im confident in changing chords etc but im to sure if the guitar I brought was right for a beginner? The guitar is a Yamaha ERG 121. When my firend plays it (grade 5) he can get much more better sounding music than I can. Is this because the guitar is not good for a beginner or that he has played so long he can play any guitar? Hi   Congratulations on getting the golden ear    You are now noticing the differences in tone and timbre in different playing styles  and may like the  tone  of the guitar and chords etc played differently such as the sevenths  the minors  and playing open vs barre chords…..   Be patient  you are learning fast
