first electric
Question:
i bought the squier. It was a 20th anniversary deal. The humbuckers are amazing. It’s the same as a lp100, except that it’s 150 dollars cheaper. I personally don’t like the strat body, i don’t know why, but i don’t. I guess it’s a matter of personal preference. The guy gave me a discount on a gig bag, threw in some pics, a string winder, a discount on a pack of strings, a free set up, a strap and a patch cable, the gig bag was the only one i had to pay for. It’s a very good guitar. My only complaint is that it didn’t come with a distortion pedal included (darn). It’s amazing. I had the strap come off, but some strap locks can fix that.

Squier also has a fat strat with a humbucker if you want, and a double fat tele with 2 humbuckers, and for all I know they may have a double fat strat too. Eric

epis special II is the best low end paul type I know of. around two hundred bucks, sometimes less. the no brand model I can’t recommend from anything except what you say, and judging by that I’d say, avoid it. by the time you get to four hundred bucks.. not knowing if you mean usa bucks or not.. you can still get epiphones les paul standard in black for 420.00 at http://www.rocknrhythm.com you can get prs santana se… for under four hundred.. and it’s a hell of a guitar… though a double cutaway body.. and with or without tremolo either of these latter two would do you well for ages.. the special II sounds good, plays good, has a good warranty and is well made… very stable and predictable. Twang!

i did some research. It’s probably made with parts by warmoth. It looks like an older guitar. There’s nothing fancy about it. It has some gunk under the speed knobs. I think warmoth sells seymour duncan pickups, though i’d have to take it apart to be sure. All the parts in the guitar add up to 900 us.

I’m relatively new to electrics, so take this with a grain of salt. Have you tried the Squier Strat? Quite cheap (<$200) and feels and sounds just like a real one. Sure, it’s a Jap and the body’s made of plywood, but who cares? No humbuckers, either, but there’s that single-coil pickup sound. I’ve had mine for about 3 years now and wouldn’t trade it for even money. But what do I know? – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> hey guys. thanx for all the great advice from this ng. it’s been wonderful > being a beginner. I’m planning on buying my first electric.
