diference in Epipnone Les Paul and Gibson Les Paul

Question:

I’m guessing one in a real Gibson and the other is an import ? thanks Gary

Gibson’s are American made, Epiphone’s are Korean made, also the pickups are VERY different, Gisbons pickups are FAR better, however, the build quality itself shouldn’t be too different between the two if your lucky. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > I’m guessing one in a real Gibson and the other is an import ? > thanks > Gary

The best way to see and hear the difference is a side by side comparison in the store using the same amp for both. I went into a store intending to buy the Epiphone but I did a comparison and bought the Gibson.

That’s well and good, but kinda tough for us lefties.  Last time I went into my local guitar shop I counted 2 lefties on display, both of them pretty much beginner guitars.. This out of.. dunno.. over a hundred righties. There were more lefty BASSES than guitars, and the bass ’section’ takes up one corner of the upstairs area. I shoulda learned righty, but I don’t really want to relearn now..
